With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Matteo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Jatsu saved Eldorado from getting behind. After 15 played minutes Chivas FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Endira. When Chivas FC's Domingo Matteo in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eldorado's goalie prevented a goal. Joaquin Jatsu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Matteo's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 25 played minutes, Chivas FC's Rodrigo Salvino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Jatsu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivas FC reached it. Ezequiel Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes, Chivas FC's Elpidio Sandalio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Jatsu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivas FC reached it. If Domingo Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Jatsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Chivas FC's Roque Inocente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Anaya in the 38th minute of play. When Eustacio Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chivas FC's protests and gave Eustacio Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Eldorado booed when Chivas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo Matteo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Jatsu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remigio Anaya was the one to do the kick off. When Valentin Emenon fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eldorado's protests and gave Valentin Emenon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chivas FC booed when Eldorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Emenon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Cresencio came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Jatsu could save by the left post. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Eldorado's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Cresencio was slow to take the kick. During this time Chivas FC's players had a chance to rest. 94 minutes in the game, Domingo Matteo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joaquin Jatsu having to interfere.
