The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Roman Lastur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evelio Abilio was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Evelio Abilio. Evelio Abilio was a little too slow when Gaudencio Elizardo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 36th minute, Fernan Baristo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Austin to make the kick off. Gaudencio Elizardo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Evelio Abilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachí. OCIPUERCOS AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Odilon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haroldo Bilintx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
