Isidro Etor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Rius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After some careless play in the Boca defense, Edelmiro Artizar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Rius. The Boca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Rius should have stopped the shot. The Boca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Neild FC were winning 0-3.

When Rolando Celipe fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neild FC's protests and gave Rolando Celipe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Boca booed when Neild FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Frascuelo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 98th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
