The corner led Latero's Aurelio Pepillo to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodosio Gora despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute Guido Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Dabi struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Fausto Santiago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos Mex. After 20 played minutes, Diablos Mex's Tadeo Indar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fausto Santiago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diablos Mex reached it. Diablos Mex's Teodosio Gora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Kimetz in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Fabian Sayveon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Sayveon got free with Teodosio Gora in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godofredo Nesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Diablos Mex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Giro to maneuver through the defense. Guido Dabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Dabi in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Santiago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlando Eguerdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 48 minutes on the clock, Tadeo Indar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 50th minute of the game, Latero got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Kimetz made a kick off. Orlando Eguerdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Santiago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Eguerdi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute of the match, Orlando Eguerdi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fausto Santiago was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Orlando Eguerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Latero's Godofredo Nesor got a free kick in the 65th minute. Orlando Eguerdi came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fausto Santiago could save by the left post. If Orlando Eguerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Fabian Sayveon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Sayveon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diablos Mex's Teodosio Gora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Sayveon in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Aurelio Pepillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Latero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diablos Mex the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Latero's zone, Orlando Eguerdi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Santiago came out of the goal and Orlando Eguerdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Froilan Argider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
