If Ernesto Eyague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes Jaramillo got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Eyague. La Cumbancha Machine's Valter Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Ebardo in the 20th minute of play. Joaquin Mon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valter Sjöberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 24th match minute, La Cumbancha Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Olo to maneuver through the defense. Siro Charro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Fabricio Hanni sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jaramillo's Ernesto Isusko didn't even have to move. After having played for 33 minutes, Rafael Padilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cumbancha Machine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Padilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, La Cumbancha Machine's goalkeeper Valter Sjöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquin Mon. Jeronimo Indalecio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Sjöberg having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venancio Ebardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joaquin Mon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, La Cumbancha Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Hanni to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Rafael Padilla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Lino Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Isusko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Nataniel in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Venancio Ebardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaramillo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Rafael Padilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ernesto Isusko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of La Cumbancha Machine booed when Jaramillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Eyague didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Ebardo in the 83rd minute of play forced La Cumbancha Machine's goalkeeper Valter Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Venancio Ebardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, La Cumbancha Machine's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Ebardo came free, but Valter Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaramillo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
