The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Eguerdi got free with Anastasio Mancio in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Lutti getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fermin Gabon hit a great ball. Aureliano Larpe might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prospero Orixe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Larpe ran back to his position shaking his head. Aureliano Larpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Prospero Orixe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Alvaro Eguerdi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Larpe came free, but Prospero Orixe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Eguerdi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Anastasio Mancio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico FC. In the 43rd play minute Alvaro Eguerdi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anastasio Mancio. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Eguerdi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Lutti's Fabian Esquipula seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fabian Esquipula the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lutti protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fabian Esquipula had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 51st minute, one of Lutti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lutti. Anastasio Mancio came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico FC's Alvaro Eguerdi. But to his dismay, Alvaro Eguerdi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 61st minute, Alvaro Eguerdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Mexico FC fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Mexico FC's Alvaro Eguerdi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 70 minutes, Bernardo Txindoki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lutti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Txindoki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute Alvaro Eguerdi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Mexico FC made a substitution. Nicasio Mede replaced Alvaro Eguerdi. Lutti's Anastasio Mancio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Meder in the 89th minute of play. If Nicasio Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Mede struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Anastasio Mancio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico FC. Miguel Meder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicasio Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Mancio having to interfere.
