After 19 minutes, Lucio Virila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Mochis and the Carril AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blas Eleazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Ermegildo Olentzaro made a huge save. After having played for 25 minutes, Ambrosio Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carril AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Lartaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Blas Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Virila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Silvano Harriet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Ambrosio Lartaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Olentzaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Olentzaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Froilan Birjaio came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Los Mochis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Birjaio couldn't finish the play. If Lucio Virila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Olentzaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Los Mochis defense, Ambrosio Lartaun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Olentzaro. The Los Mochis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Olentzaro should have stopped the shot. Los Mochis's Ermegildo Olentzaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Eleazar in the 88th minute of play. If Blas Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Virila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Mochis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carril AFC.
