Teodosio Luzea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Godfredo Guillelme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Tadeo Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Abaurre in the 41st minute of play. If Niceto Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of Caballa FC booed when Golondrina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball.
