Hipolito Mateus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Henderson's Omar Raitin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Tino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henderson's Omar Raitin got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hipolito Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Constancio in the 43rd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

A hard shot 55 in the game by Jacinto Constancio from a close distance when the talented Hipolito Mateus managed to make a qualified save. Henderson's players were relieved. Nereo Salvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Constancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Mateus having to interfere. Esquel's Lucas Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Roderigo in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Esquel getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Clodoveo Urki hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Bernardino Roderigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Henderson and the Esquel players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Esquel booed when Henderson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Roderigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Claris during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After taking down the ball on Esquel's corner Basilio Aurre fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hipolito Mateus quite easily take care of the ball. Jacinto Constancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Hipolito Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henderson's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nereo Salvino 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Jacinto Constancio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Hipolito Mateus made a huge save.
