Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristobal Osoitz started the match with the kick off. Santo Checa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Bittor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Malvinas getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Guaberto Aurre hit a great ball. If Jeremias Orlanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Orlanda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Bittor having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Moreno's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Telesforo came free, but Carolo Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moreno's Mauro Tulio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcial Bittor but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Orlanda got free with Marcial Bittor in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cirilo Tello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Orlanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Marcial Bittor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Jeremias Orlanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moreno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Orlanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Marcial Bittor acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonatan Kaiet. Jeremias Orlanda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Bittor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Santo Checa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Bittor having to make a save. After 36 played minutes Malvinas got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Lizar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Marcial Bittor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Checa in the 57th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Malvinas's Leonides Danel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonides Danel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Malvinas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonides Danel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malvinas! After a defensive mix-up in Malvinas's zone, Jeremias Orlanda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Bittor came out of the goal and Jeremias Orlanda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Checa in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Bittor saved Malvinas from getting behind. If Jeremias Orlanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Nevada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartolo Telesforo went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Cirilo Tello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cirilo Tello might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Nevada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Tello ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Malvinas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
