But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Montxo couldn't finish the play. Jacinto Endura kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Club America FC's Cristobal Dominguez tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Club America FC booed when SC FRESNILLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Endura didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Victor Montxo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Diaz. SC FRESNILLO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Montxo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Montxo to make the kick off. Gonzalo Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Dei in the 55th minute of play forced Club America FC's goalkeeper Astor Xabat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Bartolo Elija ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Xabat was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the game, Victor Montxo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fidel Diaz. Victor Montxo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 74th minute, Jacinto Endura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bartolo Elija came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the SC FRESNILLO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Elija couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when SC FRESNILLO's Bartolo Elija fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a rather tough play, SC FRESNILLO's Jacinto Endura got a free kick in the 95th minute. Marcial Guifre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Diaz having to interfere. SC FRESNILLO were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
