Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruno Montrel kicked off to start the match. Laguna Athletic's Remigio Madaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Montrel in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th minute, one of Maravilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maravilla. The goalkeeper, Serafino Bartoleme, was totally fooled by Laguna Athletic's Baldomiro Ubendu, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Laguna Athletic booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cebrian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Ugutz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lorenzo Cebrian hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Francisco Ugutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Serafino Bartoleme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Zeledon Bazkoare sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remigio Madaleno skillfully saved the ball. In the 25th minute, Bruno Montrel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomiro Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remigio Madaleno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Colon, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rolando Colon struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Remigio Madaleno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maravilla. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Baldomiro Ubendu sped through Maravilla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Serafino Bartoleme. Francisco Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Bartoleme having to interfere. With a little luck, Maravilla's Serafino Bartoleme got control of the ball when Baldomiro Ubendu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Bruno Montrel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Remigio Madaleno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomiro Ubendu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Laguna Athletic's Baldomiro Ubendu in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Remigio Madaleno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Baldomiro Ubendu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Serafino Bartoleme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laguna Athletic's Leonides Birjaio got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Maravilla's zone, Baldomiro Ubendu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Bartoleme came out of the goal and Baldomiro Ubendu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Eloy Lando got a free kick in the 84th minute. Francisco Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomiro Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baldomiro Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Ubendu in the 89th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Serafino Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Dantel charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed German Dantel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Laguna Athletic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Laguna Athletic:s Remigio Madaleno showed great skill when he stopped Zeledon Bazkoare:s penalty. 94 minutes into the match, Zeledon Bazkoare had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigio Madaleno. Laguna Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Bazkoare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. In the 97th minute, Baldomiro Ubendu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
