Leonardo Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Tecate FC's Leonardo Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 高远南 in the 14th minute of play. Abel Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Tecate FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Giro. After 19 played minutes, Electricistas del Necaxa's Abel Santiago shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonardo Ekain came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Electricistas del Necaxa reached it. 20 minutes into the game, Tecate FC's Bernardino Giro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Bazil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 24 minutes, Natalio Bakar mouthed his way into the referee's book. Tecate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Saturnin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bernardino Giro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Bazil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Gervaso, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Saverio Saturnin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Bazil. Electricistas del Necaxa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Saturnin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 高远南 to make the kick off. Apolo Bazil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Gervaso in the 56th minute of play. Leonardo Ekain was a little too slow when 高远南 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Giro in the 61st minute of play forced Electricistas del Necaxa's goalkeeper Apolo Bazil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Electricistas del Necaxa's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Giro came free, but Apolo Bazil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Emilio Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Bazil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Bazil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardino Giro went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 69 minutes, Emilio Gervaso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Bernardino Giro sped through Electricistas del Necaxa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Apolo Bazil. In the 80th match minute, Tecate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Saturnin to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Gervaso scored 6-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Apolo Bazil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Apolo Bazil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Gervaso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Electricistas del Necaxa's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Giro came free, but Apolo Bazil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emilio Gervaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luigi Kau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Ekain having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Raulo in the 96th minute of play forced Electricistas del Necaxa's goalkeeper Apolo Bazil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Bazil came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Tecate FC's Bernardino Giro. But to his dismay, Bernardino Giro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Tecate FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
