Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leonardo Gizon took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alonzo Porfirio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Ramos in the 10th minute of play forced Independencia FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Porfirio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Robustiano Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Independencia FC defense, Aldo Garci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alonzo Porfirio. The Independencia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alonzo Porfirio should have stopped the shot. Godfredo Guillelmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Gizon in the 23rd minute of play. Maximino Valiente's late challenge caught a Independencia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Valiente helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Astra got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Valiente. Ildefonso Nafarroa, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Robustiano Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Leonardo Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independencia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Gizon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Guillelmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes Astra got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Garci. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aldo Garci was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Astra's Robustiano Ramos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alonzo Porfirio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 59 minutes, Leonardo Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independencia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Gizon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Carmelo Quexal made a precise shot to the right of Godfredo Guillelmo. Astra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Gizon in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godfredo Guillelmo saved Astra from getting behind. Alonzo Porfirio was a little too slow when Aldo Garci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Astra's Godfredo Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Gizon in the 76th minute of play. Robustiano Ramos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alonzo Porfirio having to make a save. In the 82nd match minute, Astra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Cordaro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Independencia FC's zone, Aldo Garci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Porfirio came out of the goal and Aldo Garci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Independencia FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Adan Goren hit a great ball. The Independencia FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Astra's performance. The match ended with a win for Astra.
