After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Aurelio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROBBIE FOWLER's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Isaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natalio Anaya's late challenge caught a ROBBIE FOWLER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natalio Anaya helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Mangoré FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Anaya to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Roque Iraunkor fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Efrain Isaio, passed just outside the right post. 22 minutes into the match, Antonio Gonsalvo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ROBBIE FOWLER's Adan Bertin. Adan Bertin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Duarte in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efrain Isaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fidel Frasquito hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. ROBBIE FOWLER's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adan Bertin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Gonsalvo in the 46th minute of play. Baldomero Txatxu might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adan Bertin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baldomero Txatxu ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Duarte to make the kick off. Antonio Gonsalvo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Adan Bertin made a huge save. Efrain Isaio came out of the goal and Roque Iraunkor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mangoré FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
