The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Tomasz Kondysar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Aristides Iratze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delmar Vigil struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ubaldo Daunte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivas United. Ubaldo Daunte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Mikelats in the 12th minute of the match. Aristides Iratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Daunte having to interfere. Bartolo Beltza struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ubaldo Daunte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivas United. The supporters of Chivas United booed when Cuervos Ecatepec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Cordarryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Cuervos Ecatepec got a freekick which was hit by Julio Cordarryl. A collision led to Cuervos Ecatepec getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Julio Cordarryl hit a great ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Delmar Vigil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chivas United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Vigil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ubaldo Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Iratze in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cuervos Ecatepec defense, Americo Mikelats kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ubaldo Daunte. The Cuervos Ecatepec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ubaldo Daunte should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Iratze in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ubaldo Daunte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bartolo Beltza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ubaldo Daunte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Vigil in the 40th minute of play forced Cuervos Ecatepec's goalkeeper Ubaldo Daunte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Iratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ubaldo Daunte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Ubaldo Daunte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Americo Mikelats showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Cuervos Ecatepec's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Beltza came free, but Ubaldo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cuervos Ecatepec's zone, Anier Olando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 73rd match minute, Cuervos Ecatepec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes of play, Chivas United's Anier Olando made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ubaldo Daunte was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Tomasz Kondysar came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Chivas United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomasz Kondysar couldn't finish the play. Tomasz Kondysar took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Daunte. Ubaldo Daunte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Aristides Iratze struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ubaldo Daunte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivas United. If Americo Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Iratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Chivas United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cuervos Ecatepec throughout the match.
