In the 24th minute Vicente Chepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Palben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Guanajuato's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Chepe came free, but Mario Palben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepas's Rodrigo Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Pepas from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Isidoro Quin sent off a good shot on target. Mario Palben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uston Assegaf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beppe De Vecchis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Palben having to make a save. After 35 played minutes Guanajuato got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Quin. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 90th minute, Isaac Ermengol fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match was over Pepas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guanajuato throughout the match.
