The referee showed Fausto Calisto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes CHETUMAL FC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Calisto. In the 9th minute, Ricardo Argenis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CHETUMAL FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19thth minute of the game Moises Hurko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CHETUMAL FC's Urbano Guipuzkoa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CHETUMAL FC's zone, Moises Hurko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urbano Guipuzkoa came out of the goal and Moises Hurko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Moises Hurko made a precise shot to the right of Urbano Guipuzkoa. CHETUMAL FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Castel got free with Urbano Guipuzkoa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Felipillo was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Damario's late challenge caught a CHETUMAL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Damario helped the player get up and apologised. 52 minutes into the game, one of Antapoca AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 60 minutes of play, Antapoca AFC's Roberto Castel made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urbano Guipuzkoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute Roberto Castel suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Fausto Calisto got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 65 minutes into the game, one of CHETUMAL FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Urbano Guipuzkoa had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Froilan Remigio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Saverio Tiso hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Urbano Guipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Hurko in the 70th minute of play. If Ricardo Argenis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Hurko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Urbano Guipuzkoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimiro Todor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Guipuzkoa having to interfere. If Moises Hurko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CHETUMAL FC's Urbano Guipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Hurko in the 80th minute of play. Vladimiro Todor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind CHETUMAL FC's goalkeeper Urbano Guipuzkoa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Argenis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Paulo Camerino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Vladimiro Todor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Antapoca AFC's Paulo Camerino got control of the ball when Ricardo Argenis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, CHETUMAL FC's Ricardo Argenis got a free kick in the 97th minute. Froilan Remigio kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
