The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hipolito Laurentzi charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hipolito Laurentzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nunez Jago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nunez Jago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantino Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Teodor, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Alfredo Teodor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantino Nicholas. Toluca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Teodor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 32nd match minute, Britos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Ipar to maneuver through the defense. Rogelio Lizbeth hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Britos booed when Toluca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball.

In the 54th minute, Alfredo Teodor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Nicholas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Hipolito Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfredo Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Britos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Teodor couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Britos's Tomas Qwinton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Nunez Jago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Tab in the 78th minute of the match. Emilio Derwin charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Derwin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Emilio Derwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Nicholas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Toluca's Miguel Oinaz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The long shot by Isaac Tono in the 94th minute really tested Constantino Nicholas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience was convinced that Tomas Qwinton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantino Nicholas was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Britos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
