In the 5th minute, Benito Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Adrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benito Ongile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Adrio in the 9th minute of the match. Hermengildo Hernando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodosio Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Mendebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herrera AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erasmo Calvino in the 22nd minute. Erasmo Calvino made a great header on Herrera AFC's corner, it was just that Bombal AFC's Mauricio Abad managed to reach the ball for a save. After 26 played minutes Bombal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Eder. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Adrio in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Abad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Herrera AFC's Paulino Poz got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Saul Mendebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Ongile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Abad having to interfere. Mauricio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Adrio in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bombal AFC's Saul Mendebal got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Adrio in the 56th minute of play forced Bombal AFC's goalkeeper Mauricio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Camilo Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bombal AFC's protests and gave Camilo Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Marcos Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herrera AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Adrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bombal AFC's Tomás Bitxintxo got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Bombal AFC's goalkeeper Mauricio Abad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Ongile. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Marcos Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herrera AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Adrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Bombal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Eder. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Marcos Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herrera AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Adrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Ongile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mauricio Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcos Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Herrera AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Herrera AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
