A well placed Godfredo Naldo short distance shot in the 8th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The supporters of Gouin booed when Gran Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Ikatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gouin's Teofilo Katia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Gouin from getting a goal against them. With his leg Teofilo Katia managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Gran Azul's Anacleto Iraido fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 19 minutes, Godfredo Naldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gran Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Naldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Artal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alfonso Jon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes in the game, Godfredo Naldo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Teofilo Katia having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anacleto Iraido in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofilo Katia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anacleto Iraido to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Anacleto Iraido put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Teofilo Katia. Alfonso Jon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Severo Patrido. Godfredo Naldo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Teofilo Katia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gran Azul. Gran Azul's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
