But to his dismay, Hilario Errolan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Landeta's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Errolan came free, but Jacobo Maraman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Landeta getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Efrain Orzaize hit a great ball. Diablos Rojos's Felipe Eriz suffered a sore thigh after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 18 minutes into the game, Bernardo Domeka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landeta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diablos Rojos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Landeta's Bernardo Domeka got a free kick in the 19th minute. Diablos Rojos's Luciano Theodore couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Landeta. Celso Bitxintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Fidencio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Bitxintxo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Fidencio saved Diablos Rojos from getting behind. Anastasio Cidro hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Landeta's Tomas Salvator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Fidencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dionisio Benat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramon Fidencio having to make a save. After having played for 30 minutes, Celso Bitxintxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Bitxintxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximino Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Fidencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Bitxintxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Diablos Rojos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hilario Errolan to make the kick off. Ramon Fidencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Bitxintxo in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Benat came free, but Ramon Fidencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes of play Diablos Rojos's Anastasio Anaya was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 58 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Anaya. Celso Bitxintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ramon Fidencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rdth minute of the game Dionisio Benat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diablos Rojos's Ramon Fidencio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramon Fidencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landeta. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Landeta lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
