Leon Chale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Laurin in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Guadalajara AFC's Paulo Elija nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlando Lehior made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Agustin Vachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Chale having to interfere. Jacinto Laurin succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Maximino Fernendo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Fernendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Guadalajara AFC booed when Divisoria AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Fernendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Divisoria AFC's zone, Paulo Elija stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Lehior came out of the goal and Paulo Elija tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guadalajara AFC's Leon Chale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Vachon in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Guadalajara AFC defense, Jacinto Laurin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Chale. The Guadalajara AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Chale should have stopped the shot. Orlando Lehior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Orlan in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Agustin Vachon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Marcos Orlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guadalajara AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Orlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Divisoria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Elija came free, but Orlando Lehior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Divisoria AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
