In the 12th minute Pedro Kinsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Honrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Daniel Rolado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armando Idacio. Daniel Rolado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 21st minute, Casares's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Maximiliano Musko fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Armando Idacio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Rolado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Musko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lobos BUAP booed when Casares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Pedro Kinsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Honrio. Lobos BUAP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Kinsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 43rd minute Luisito Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Honrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Kinsen's late challenge caught a Lobos BUAP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Kinsen helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Kinsen hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Horacio Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 52 minutes, Valentin Aritza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lobos BUAP and the Casares players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lobos BUAP getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Valentin Aritza hit a great ball. If Pedro Kinsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Honrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Kinsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Luisito Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Honrio having to interfere. Ricardo Honrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Kinsen in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Musko in the 77th minute of play forced Casares's goalkeeper Armando Idacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lobos BUAP's Valentin Aritza got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Pedro Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casares's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Kinsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Honrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Lobos BUAP's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Kinsen came free, but Ricardo Honrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Honrio having to interfere. Pedro Kinsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobos BUAP's goalkeeper Ricardo Honrio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maximiliano Musko kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Maximiliano Musko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lobos BUAP supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Casares's performance. The match ended with a win for Casares.
