In the 9th minute Gualterio Celipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Tartalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Goi in the 13th minute of play. The Cabred fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Cabred's Leon Goi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in TIGRES UANL's zone, Celedonio Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Tartalo came out of the goal and Celedonio Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Celedonio Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 23 minutes of play, Cabred's Gualterio Celipe made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Tartalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celedonio Maju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cabred's Inocencio Perutxo got control of the ball when Ciriaco Shepherd tried to sneak it across the goal line. TIGRES UANL's Celso Tartalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Celipe in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes TIGRES UANL got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Iratxo. In the 33rd minute, Ciro Egun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind TIGRES UANL's goalkeeper Celso Tartalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ciro Egun fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TIGRES UANL's protests and gave Ciro Egun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, TIGRES UANL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Egun to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hipolito Bartuelo to strike the kick off in the second half. Celso Tartalo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Romulo Domenec. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cabred's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tadeo Quintyn was slow to take the kick. During this time TIGRES UANL's players had a chance to rest. The corner led TIGRES UANL's Tadeo Quintyn to fire away a dangerous shot which Inocencio Perutxo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gualterio Celipe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Tartalo having to make a save. Claudio Iratxo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Cabred booed when TIGRES UANL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Quintyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gualterio Celipe came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cabred fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Celipe couldn't finish the play. If Gualterio Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Quintyn hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, TIGRES UANL's Ciro Egun got a free kick in the 90th minute. Celedonio Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Celso Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Iratxo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Maju in the 94th minute of play forced TIGRES UANL's goalkeeper Celso Tartalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celedonio Maju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cabred's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
