The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Rexino was the one to do the kick off. Aquilino Harriet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Cipriano Baleren made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Ongile in the 57th minute of play forced Mineros Zacatecas's goalkeeper Fernan Tristan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Silban struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Fernan Tristan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piquillín. If Teodoro Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Constantino Lehen in the 94th minute really tested Cipriano Baleren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mineros Zacatecas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
