The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Espeleta got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Oxarra. 5 minutes into the match, Luyaba FC's Emanuel Fraco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Evelio Dominic blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Pes having to make a save. Evelio Dominic struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Teofilo Pes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espeleta. 25 minutes into the match, Espeleta's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Guillem came free, but Jonatan Matxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Dominic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Pes having to interfere. Jonatan Matxin was a little too slow when Jose Guillem got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. When Luyaba FC's Jose Guillem in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Espeleta's goalie prevented a goal. Jose Guillem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evelio Dominic was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Luyaba FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Pablo Lugo hit a great ball. The supporters of Luyaba FC booed when Espeleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Mercurio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teofilo Pes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Cuartio went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 65thth minute of the game Alonzo Chucho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espeleta's Jonatan Matxin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Espeleta getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Amadeo Gombal hit a great ball. In the 68th minute of the match Luyaba FC got a corner. Espeleta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Fraco ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 72nd minute, Pascual Joachim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Pes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Dominic in the 80th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Espeleta got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Laurendi. Jose Guillem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jose Guillem might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Matxin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose Guillem ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
