Spectators: 6680 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rodrigo Selatse took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Selatse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Teofilo Pes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 11 played minutes Velaz got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Kauldi. Rodrigo Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Pes having to interfere. Alonzo Chucho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Niva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Teofilo Pes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Selatse in the 23rd minute of play. Dionisio Niva made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Alonzo Chucho sent off a good shot on target. Agustin Hernando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Pes having to interfere. Teofilo Pes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Selatse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Guillem in the 33rd minute of play forced Velaz's goalkeeper Dionisio Niva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luyaba FC's Teofilo Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Hernando in the 35th minute of play. Teofilo Pes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Selatse, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Agustin Hernando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Selatse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Teofilo Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Velaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Abascal to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Guillem made a kick off. Lino Orkatz charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Orkatz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, one of Velaz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Velaz. Pascual Joachim kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rodrigo Selatse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Guillem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dionisio Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisio Niva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Guillem in the 67th minute of the match. If Jose Guillem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rodrigo Selatse, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Teofilo Pes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Guaberto Sal, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Alonzo Chucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Guillem took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dionisio Niva. Dionisio Niva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luyaba FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Velaz had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
