Agustin Cuartio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Carhué's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Agustin Cuartio sped through Humahuaca FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martin Gar. Victor Aznar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Bertol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Humahuaca FC booed when Carhué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Inguma didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Humahuaca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Danel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
