In the 13th minute Domingos Hechter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Darien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baltasar Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Hechter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Darien having to interfere. Piquete's Benicio Darien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Hechter in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Galenos's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Kelemen came free, but Humberto Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Hechter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Benicio Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Remicio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Darien having to interfere. Piquete's Florencio Kelemen got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florencio Kelemen made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Galenos got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Tartalo. In the 53rd minute, Artemio Eduino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Hechter had several of the Piquete's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Benicio Darien as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benicio Darien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Remicio in the 59th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Galenos got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Cuarto. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galenos's goalkeeper Humberto Txindoki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Clemente Araoz fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galenos's protests and gave Clemente Araoz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute Baltasar Remicio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Darien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Piquete getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Haroldo Deunoro hit a great ball. Benicio Darien didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. When Baltasar Remicio came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Galenos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Remicio couldn't finish the play. Benicio Darien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Remicio in the 94th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Baltasar Remicio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benicio Darien was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Galenos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
