GACEGA's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Argina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Liher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th match minute, GACEGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Botello to maneuver through the defense. Maximiliano Quin made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when German Lohitzun sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the game, Celso Marcones threw the ball into play from the sideline. GACEGA's Ernesto Botello quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 21 played minutes Cullen got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Silbestre. The coaching staff of GACEGA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulo Mannie had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to GACEGA getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Paulo Mannie hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ernesto Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Felipe Guillen came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the GACEGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Guillen couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Celso Marcones in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GACEGA's Nicanor Etxatxu. After a rather tough play, GACEGA's Roque Oier got a free kick in the 44th minute. Baltasar Vistruario's late challenge caught a GACEGA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Vistruario helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 59th minute, Segundo Eudoxio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cullen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. GACEGA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Lohitzun in the 78th minute of play forced GACEGA's goalkeeper Maximiliano Quin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, Felipe Guillen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GACEGA and the Cullen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, GACEGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Guillen to maneuver through the defense. GACEGA's Maximiliano Quin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Vistruario in the 82nd minute of play. A very good chance. German Lohitzun struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Maximiliano Quin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cullen. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cullen fans cheered their team off the field, for while GACEGA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
