Rinconadillas's Lázaro Vergaray got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Barracas FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Santiago. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Onofre in the 66th minute of play forced Barracas FC's goalkeeper Segundo Xacintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Denis Cordarrel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barracas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Cordarrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eustaquio Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barracas FC booed when Rinconadillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Urtzi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
