Cristo Salamon made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Alejo Quilo sent off a good shot on target. Seleccion Azteca's Pablo Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Eguen in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Alejo Quilo made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cervantes AFC's Cristo Salamon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejo Quilo got free with Cristo Salamon in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Cervantes AFC's Ariel Hechter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pablo Diaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Cervantes AFC's goalkeeper Cristo Salamon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquin Gartxot. Alejo Quilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cristo Salamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Haroldo Eguen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cervantes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Eguen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pablo Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Eguen in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Eleder to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Cervantes AFC's Haroldo Eguen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Seleccion Azteca's Mario Vito was substituted for Abel Bazil. In the 67th minute Jimeno Eleder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Diaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Mario Vito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seleccion Azteca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Eguen in the 73rd minute of play forced Seleccion Azteca's goalkeeper Pablo Diaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Victorino Gentza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Cristo Salamon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute Mario Vito suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Bide during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Ariel Hechter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejo Quilo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cristo Salamon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seleccion Azteca. 92 minutes into the match, Cervantes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Quilo came free, but Cristo Salamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Seleccion Azteca had played much better football throughout.
