Spectators: 6684 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cornelio Lico took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 9 minutes Atahualpa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filomeno Theodore who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atahualpa's goalie and right to Fermin Ireno. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atahualpa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Elias Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Orlando Gaueko managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Atahualpa's Aristides Frederik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zavalla's goalkeeper Orlando Gaueko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Zavalla's zone, Cornelio Lico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Gaueko came out of the goal and Cornelio Lico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geronimo Faron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Ireno in the 25th minute of the match. Cornelio Lico struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Orlando Gaueko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atahualpa. Orlando Gaueko made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Aristides Frederik sent off a good shot on target. If Fermin Ireno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Elias Abilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Faron was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Cornelio Lico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando Gaueko having to make a save. Zavalla's Orlando Gaueko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Zavalla from getting a goal against them. Orlando Gaueko made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aristides Frederik sent off a good shot on target. Atahualpa's Cornelio Lico got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 47 minutes, Fermin Ireno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zavalla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Ireno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Cornelio Lico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Gaueko having to interfere. In the 78th minute, one of Atahualpa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atahualpa. Filomeno Theodore shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 84 minutes into the match, Zavalla's Elias Abilio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geronimo Faron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute of the match Atahualpa got a corner. Zavalla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvio Lain ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Silvio Lain got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Orlando Gaueko quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpected shot in the 99th minute by Fermin Ireno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Elias Abilio took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geronimo Faron. Geronimo Faron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.
