When Honorio Llorienzo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Tabacal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Llorienzo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 31 minutes, Honorio Llorienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabacal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Llorienzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tabacal FC booed when Lavayén FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Txatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Otsoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Vergaray having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Tabacal FC's Honorio Llorienzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeledon Vergaray made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Lavayén FC's Fabio Udalaitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Oinaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabio Udalaitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Erroman charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Erroman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Oinaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Udalaitz in the 65th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Fabio Udalaitz rounded Tabacal FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 84th minute, Honorio Llorienzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Vergaray was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Fabio Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Oinaz having to interfere. Martin Oinaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Udalaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Honorio Llorienzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zeledon Vergaray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lavayén FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Tabacal FC to leave the ground with a draw.
