A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Mechita's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Behe came free, but Leonides Rolado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ildefonso Behe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvestre Abella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Rolado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Behe in the 18th minute of play. Leonides Rolado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Abella, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Mechita's Hilario Garikoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Rafel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Xacintu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Hilario Garikoitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Guaberto Xacintu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ildefonso Behe might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Rolado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Behe ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Mechita's zone, Silvestre Abella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Rolado came out of the goal and Silvestre Abella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anguli AFC's Silvestre Abella got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anguli AFC's Iker Medardo got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Rafel to strike the kick off in the second half. Mechita's Leonides Rolado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Behe in the 55th minute of play. When Silvestre Abella came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Anguli AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Abella couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Julio Rafel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Xacintu was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Garikoitz in the 64th minute of play forced Anguli AFC's goalkeeper Guaberto Xacintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ildefonso Behe came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Anguli AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Behe couldn't finish the play. The Mechita fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Anguli AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
