Hugi Jökulsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Ferman having to interfere. Vicente Gartzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marciano Criston's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. When Hugi Jökulsson fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Anita FC's protests and gave Hugi Jökulsson a yellow card for diving instead. Justo Ferman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugi Jökulsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Hugi Jökulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the referee ended the match the Santa Anita FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
