The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Chavarría's goalkeeper Genaro Tiso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victoriano Erramun. The audience was convinced that Victorio Cordara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cirilo Blasco was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 14th minute Chavarría were awarded a corner. Serafin Chus went to the cornerflag to take it. Serafin Chus made a great header on Chavarría's corner, it was just that Uribelarrea's Cirilo Blasco managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Cordara in the 16th minute of play forced Uribelarrea's goalkeeper Cirilo Blasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Eusebio Loi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uribelarrea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chavarría the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Cordara in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Blasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cirilo Blasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Cordara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorio Cordara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Blasco having to interfere. Hilario Chuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cirilo Blasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureliano Valery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Tiso having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Uribelarrea's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Cordara came free, but Cirilo Blasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Brion kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Aureliano Valery made the kick off in the second half. If Victorio Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Chuse in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cirilo Blasco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 55 minutes in the game, Victorio Cordara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cirilo Blasco having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uribelarrea's Basilio Urre got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Hilario Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute Victorio Cordara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Blasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Blasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Hilario Chuse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th match minute, Uribelarrea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Chumo to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Cordara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Blasco having to interfere. Genaro Tiso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Valery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cirilo Blasco was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Victorio Cordara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victorio Cordara really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The Chavarría supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chavarría would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
