Spectators: 6989 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 100) Eugenio Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Emesto in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Robustiano Emesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Lobo was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. When Ceferino Ekaitz came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Caseros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Ekaitz couldn't finish the play. Benedicto Ugutz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Illan having to make a save. Guido Galtero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Lobo having to interfere. The supporters of Caseros booed when Merlo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Roderigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caseros's Eugenio Lobo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Caseros from getting a goal against them. Benedicto Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Illan having to interfere. Caseros's Ceferino Ekaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benedicto Ugutz to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Merlo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Ugutz came free, but Mario Illan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merlo FC's Prudencio Roderigo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Illan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Ugutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Prudencio Roderigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merlo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caseros the free kick. After 71 played minutes Merlo FC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Roderigo. Ceferino Ekaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mario Illan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
