Spectators: 6684 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 0) Capivara's Benjamin Perez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Capivara's Leonardo Boniel got a free kick in the 6th minute. Robustiano Emesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robustiano Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Roderigo in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Capivara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Elija to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Tadeo Elija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 minutes, Robustiano Emesto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merlo FC and the Capivara players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Benjamin Perez came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Capivara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Perez couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Grabiel got free with Mario Illan in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 25 played minutes Benjamin Perez rounded Merlo FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Jacinto Sauveur came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Merlo FC's Prudencio Roderigo. But to his dismay, Prudencio Roderigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Prudencio Roderigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacinto Sauveur. Capivara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Roderigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Cecilio Lano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Sauveur having to interfere. The Capivara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merlo FC were winning 1-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Prudencio Roderigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merlo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Roderigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Sauveur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Galtero's late challenge caught a Capivara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Galtero helped the player get up and apologised. Merlo FC's Guido Galtero got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Capivara's Jacinto Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Emesto in the 65th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Capivara's Tadeo Elija sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Illan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mario Illan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Grabiel in the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Cecilio Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Lano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Illan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Perez in the 83rd minute of the match. Capivara's Tadeo Elija got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Tadeo Elija off the ground. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonides Cerilo during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Merlo FC booed when Capivara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merlo FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
