But to his dismay, Norberto Beila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Elpidio Urko came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Caifanes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Urko couldn't finish the play. Caifanes's Raul Txurio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Caifanes from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Urtsin in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Gurutz saved Teodelina FC from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Aldo Urtsin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Urtsin in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Gurutz saved Teodelina FC from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

53 minutes into the game, Domingo Eriz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teodelina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caifanes the free kick. Domingo Eriz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Hilario Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Raul Txurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Urtsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodelina FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Luiz Gustavo Marinho scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Gurutz, making the score, 0-4. 70 minutes into the match, Teodelina FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Gurutz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldo Urtsin. Erasmo Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Txurio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Gamus in the 79th minute of play forced Caifanes's goalkeeper Raul Txurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Txurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aldo Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Elpidio Urko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caifanes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Urko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Urtsin in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Gurutz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodelina FC's Erasmo Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Teodelina FC booed when Caifanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Gonzalo Rumaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Caifanes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Teodelina FC throughout the match.
