Raul Tximitx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ramon Arlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hilario Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Tijuana Xolos! The referee gave Iruya a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jairo Rameriz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Tijuana Xolos's Isaac Ekaitz. 1-0. With a little luck, Club Tijuana Xolos's Isaac Ekaitz got control of the ball when Fabricio Oliveiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabricio Oliveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Isaac Ekaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Hilario Pepillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isaac Ekaitz. The goal made the score 2-0. A collision led to Iruya getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Siro Quinito hit a great ball. Ramon Arlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Indar, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Hilario Pepillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iruya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Pepillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilario Pepillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaac Ekaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Iruya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Ciceron to maneuver through the defense. If Ruperto Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hilario Pepillo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Fabricio Oliveiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes, Inocencio Oso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iruya and the Club Tijuana Xolos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Iruya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Oso to maneuver through the defense. Club Tijuana Xolos's Raul Tximitx got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Hilario Pepillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaac Ekaitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Isaac Ekaitz came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Iruya's Hilario Pepillo. But to his dismay, Hilario Pepillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Club Tijuana Xolos's Isaac Ekaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Oliveiro in the 74th minute of play. If Hilario Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Fabricio Oliveiro made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Ekaitz. Club Tijuana Xolos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Iruya's Hilario Pepillo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isaac Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Oliveiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramon Arlo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Indar in the 92nd minute. Iruya walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
