Ignacio Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Gartzea in the 13th minute of the match. Generoso Normando charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generoso Normando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes america got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Normando. When Damaso Pasqual came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Charqui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Pasqual couldn't finish the play. Julio Loreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Roano having to interfere. Charqui FC's Damaso Pasqual got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charqui FC's Moises Roano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Charqui FC from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, Julio Loreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moises Roano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Julio Loreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ignacio Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Gartzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, america's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Gartzea came free, but Ignacio Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, america was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Chorache to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes, Charqui FC's Isidro Ulizes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ignacio Lorien came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Charqui FC reached it. After 47 minutes, Isidro Ulizes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charqui FC and the america players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isidro Ulizes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Moises Roano made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Edelmiro Chorache sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Damaso Pasqual made the kick off in the second half. america's Ignacio Lorien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Pasqual in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Julio Loreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
