Spectators: 6682 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edelmiro Bermudo got the match started through his kick off. Rafael Tristan charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Tristan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Acostilla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Tristan to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes Pelicurá got a freekick which was hit by Lino Lesardo. Basilio Katia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Cloyo in the 19th minute. The supporters of Acostilla AFC booed when Pelicurá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Panpili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Cloyo in the 23rd minute of play. Zeledon Panpili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Cloyo in the 26th minute of the match. Edelmiro Bermudo got in the 27th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Basilio Katia handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Edelmiro Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Bermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Katia having to interfere. Ramiro Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Prospero Cloyo made a precise shot to the right of Basilio Katia. Pelicurá's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Olayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Rafael Tristan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Katia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pelicurá's zone, Prospero Cloyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Katia came out of the goal and Prospero Cloyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Lino Lesardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pelicurá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acostilla AFC the free kick. In the 57th minute, Lino Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Bermudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Katia. Pelicurá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edelmiro Bermudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 61st minute Mauricio Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Panpili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Acostilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Olayo came free, but Zeledon Panpili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Acostilla AFC's Prospero Cloyo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basilio Katia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 71 played minutes Acostilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Tristan. Mauricio Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauricio Olayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Panpili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Olayo in the 79th minute of the match. Pelicurá's Mauricio Olayo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Ramiro Cloyo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mauricio Olayo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Zeledon Panpili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelicurá.
