Mauricio Olayo in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Casimiro Gartzen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ramiro Cloyo struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Casimiro Gartzen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelicurá. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Maizeros's goalkeeper Casimiro Gartzen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ramiro Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pelicurá's Enrique Tabb suffered a concussion in the 42nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Rodolfo Pacho's late challenge caught a Pelicurá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pelicurá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Lesardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Cloyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Gartzen having to interfere.
