Armonía's Julio Damario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Paulin in the 10th minute of play. Armonía's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horquilla the free kick. The Horquilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Bonifacio Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Horquilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Paulin couldn't finish the play. Donato Iruinea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Erubiel Uhin made a huge save. A collision led to Armonía getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ivan Cresencio hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Niceto Calixto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horquilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Calixto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Damario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bonifacio Paulin made a kick off. Bonifacio Paulin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Damario firmly grabbed it by the left post. Niceto Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Damario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Paulin in the 55th minute. Armonía's Julio Damario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Armonía from getting a goal against them. If Niceto Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horquilla played a much better game than Armonía and deserved their victory. The Armonía players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
