Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damian Sal started the match with the kick off. Romeo Gonzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzalo Locaio went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 7th minute, Placido Ricart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Dorio was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Damian Sal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damian Sal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Gonzalo Locaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Gonzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Denis Etxeberri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeo Gonzo. Arrufó AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Etxeberri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 25th minute Damian Sal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Locaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Gonzo having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Trejos's goalkeeper Fausto Dorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Manex. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Gonzalo Locaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trejos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Locaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Gonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Arrufó AFC's Damian Sal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Dorio. That made the score 2-2 after 47 minutes of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzalo Locaio made a kick off. Gonzalo Locaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arrufó AFC's Sergio Manex got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Gonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Locaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Damian Sal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Gonzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Locaio's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Arrufó AFC's Romeo Gonzo got control of the ball when Denis Etxeberri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gonzalo Locaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Romeo Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrufó AFC's Romeo Gonzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Arrufó AFC from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the game, Trejos's Denis Etxeberri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Gonzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When Augusto Belo fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrufó AFC's protests and gave Augusto Belo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arrufó AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Augusto Belo hit a great ball. Arnulfo Rozarius, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Trejos's Ildefonso Alonso suffered a concussion after 96 minutes and had to leave the field. 96 minutes into the game, Natalio Oalo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrufó AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trejos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arrufó AFC's Natalio Oalo got a free kick in the 97th minute. The Trejos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Trejos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
