Israel Videl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Gustau in the 9th minute of the match. Tobias Gustau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Videl having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Tobias Gustau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Israel Videl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Antilla's Cesar Lugo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Israel Videl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Gustau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Gustau in the 24th minute of play forced cruz azul f.c's goalkeeper Israel Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Americo Bladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Americo Bladi in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Israel Videl saved cruz azul f.c from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tobias Gustau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Israel Videl was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Cesar Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Fernando Benvide from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Diego Urko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 41 minutes into the game, one of cruz azul f.c:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rolando Tuste walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The cruz azul f.c players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Antilla were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Tabor was the one to do the kick off. Tobias Gustau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Israel Videl made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Americo Bladi sent off a good shot on target. If Tobias Gustau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Bladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. cruz azul f.c's Israel Videl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Gustau in the 61st minute of play. But to his dismay, Americo Bladi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tobias Gustau kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Tobias Gustau got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Antilla. Tobias Gustau's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Israel Videl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute, Americo Bladi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Augusto Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Antilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Lopes couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Americo Bladi got free with Israel Videl in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antilla's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
