The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Quinito helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lavalle fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Viamonte FC a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Honorio Porfirio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lavalle's Ciro Jerardo. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Ermengol in the 9th minute of play forced Lavalle's goalkeeper Ciro Jerardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Sidoro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Cordarryl's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Lavalle's Ciro Jerardo got control of the ball when Placido Salvator tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Bartuelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Ciro Jerardo made a huge save. In the 21st minute Eustacio Ermengol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Viamonte FC's zone, Cristobal Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Sidoro came out of the goal and Cristobal Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Prudencio Inge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Sidoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Jerardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Donio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lavalle's Ciro Jerardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Lavalle from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eustacio Ermengol to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Lavalle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Erroman to maneuver through the defense. Eustacio Ermengol struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ciro Jerardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viamonte FC. In the 58th minute Feliciano Donio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 minutes of play, Viamonte FC's Eustacio Ermengol made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciro Jerardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Dante Bartuelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Jerardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Lavalle were furious when Evaristo Quinito was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Viamonte FC booed when Lavalle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Quinito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Honorio Porfirio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Porfirio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Viamonte FC's Dante Bartuelo made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciro Jerardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Leonel Hernando in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lavalle's Ricardo Erroman. If Eulalio Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Lavalle defense, Placido Salvator kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Jerardo. The Lavalle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Jerardo should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Viamonte FC's zone, Prudencio Inge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Sidoro came out of the goal and Prudencio Inge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Viamonte FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lavalle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
