The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Godofredo Sotero during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Godofredo Sotero hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Javier Argoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Montrel in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, German Luken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Roland scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Evis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Americo Esquipula in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Evis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Álzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Roland came free, but Teodoro Evis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Álzaga FC's zone, Americo Esquipula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Evis came out of the goal and Americo Esquipula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Estrugamou's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Victorio Montrel scored to the left of an out of position Javier Argoitz, making the score, 1-2. Victorio Montrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Javier Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Estrugamou got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Rocio. Javier Argoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Victorio Montrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Javier Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Estrugamou's Jimeno Cordarrel got a free kick in the 47th minute. Bartolo Constancio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Álzaga FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Estrugamou were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Americo Esquipula to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Igor Roland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Evis was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Americo Esquipula kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teodoro Evis. That made the score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. Bartolo Constancio struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Javier Argoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Álzaga FC. If Victorio Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Americo Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Esquipula blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Evis having to make a save. Javier Argoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Montrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Igor Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bartolo Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th match minute, Estrugamou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Rocio to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Argoitz having to interfere. If Victorio Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Estrugamou supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Estrugamou would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
